Marseaux: I've Received Body Comments Since a Young Age

Singer Marseaux stated that she has received negative comments about her body since a young age. The statement came after a comment by Evi Droutsa regarding her appearance.

Evi Droutsa had referred to Marseaux's appearance during the presentation of her song for the Greek final of Eurovision, saying that "she doesn't have the wonderful body to show off."

Marseaux responded that many people have experienced body shaming and that is why she will not ignore the comments. "I believe that many people have experienced body shaming. It is an issue that I will never bury under the rug, because since a very young age I have received many comments about my body," she said.

In a video on social media, Marseaux confided that the songwriter's comment surprised and upset her. "When do we stop commenting on other people's bodies and generally other people, especially when you don't know what disorder someone may have gone through...", she stated.
