Matthew McConaughey: Why he lost the role in 'Titanic'

Matthew McConaughey almost starred in 'Titanic' instead of Leonardo DiCaprio, but he lost the role of Jack Dawson alongside Kate Winslet (Rose) because he refused to do something that was asked of him at the audition by director James Cameron. According to the autobiography of producer Jon Landau, this refusal led to the loss of the role.
