Miriam Margolyes: 'I Thought Leonardo DiCaprio Was Gay'

Miriam Margolyes, the actress, recalled a story from the filming of the 1996 film 'Romeo + Juliet,' revealing that she initially thought Leonardo DiCaprio was gay.

In an interview, the 84-year-old actress mentioned that DiCaprio appeared in a dress during a shopping trip in Mexico City. Margolyes, who played the Nurse in the film, said she asked the then 21-year-old DiCaprio if he was gay, which he denied.

Margolyes spoke fondly of DiCaprio, describing him as 'a very nice kid, an excellent actor, and a wonderful shopping companion.'
