Daniel Day-Lewis is returning to acting after an 8-year hiatus, starring in Anemone, the directorial debut of his son, Ronan.

The film premiered at the New York Film Festival on September 28th. Day-Lewis stated that it would be 'foolish' to refuse to work with his son, despite his previous announcement of retiring from acting in 2017.

Co-star Sean Bean described the experience as a 'family affair.' Day-Lewis emphasized that during filming, their family relationship did not particularly affect their work.
