Penelope Anastasopoulou: Plea for collective responsibility after Tempi anniversary

Actress Penelope Anastasopoulou, through a post on social media, expressed her strong dissatisfaction with the lack of collective responsibility, on the occasion of the three-year anniversary of the Tempi tragedy.
She stressed the need for citizen activation and solidarity towards children, emphasizing that indifference to other people's children makes us unworthy of caring for our own.
Anastasopoulou's statements came in the wake of memorial events and rallies held throughout Greece and abroad, with the central slogan 'Their profits or our lives'. The mobilizations included strikes, marches and clashes with police forces in Athens and Thessaloniki.
This year's anniversary is particularly important as it precedes the start of the trial for the tragedy, on March 23, 2026, in Larissa.
