RainbowMermaids: 'We've been together since 18 and married a year ago'

The creators of the popular podcast/vidcast #RainbowMermaids, Mystic Van Rouge and Katina Bella, spoke to Fay Skorda about their relationship and their journey in drag.

The duo, based in Thessaloniki, met at the age of 10 and have been a couple since they were 18. They mentioned that they have been together for 20 years and married for the last year.

Mystic Van Rouge has a background in philology, cooking, and writing, while Katina Bella started in the car repair industry before getting into drag. Both are active activists for animal rights and the LGBTQI+ community.

Speaking about drag, they emphasized the importance of visibility and acceptance, mentioning that the situation has improved since 2012, when Katina Bella started her career.

They also referred to their vidcast, which is already two years old, emphasizing the importance of continuing it.
