Robbie Williams Sued Over 'Angels' Copyright

Ray Heffernan has filed a lawsuit against Robbie Williams, claiming co-authorship of the hit song "Angels" and seeking 33% of its earnings. Heffernan claims he only received £7,500 for his contribution.
According to Heffernan, he presented an initial version of the song to Robbie Williams in Dublin in 2006. Robbie Williams reportedly acknowledged Heffernan's involvement but claims he recreated the song with Guy Chambers. Robbie Williams has called Heffernan delusional and stated that he purchased the song's copyright in 2006.
"Angels," released in 1997, became one of Robbie Williams' biggest hits, with millions of sales and streams.
