Journalist Sia Kosioni is hospitalized in the ICU with severe pneumonia after contracting pneumococcus. She was admitted to the hospital on Thursday due to malaise and difficulty breathing.
According to doctors at Metropolitan Hospital, her life is not in danger, but she will remain in the hospital for 15 more days, even if she is discharged from the ICU.
Sia Kosioni felt unwell since the beginning of the week, with more intense symptoms on Thursday, January 22, which prevented her from presenting the main news bulletin of SKAI. On Friday, January 23, doctors diagnosed low oxygen and pneumococcus.
She is being treated in the Intensive Care Unit under constant monitoring.
