Tears on «Kalimera Ellada»: Farewell to Giorgos Papadakis

With touching words, Panagiotis Stathis and Anna Livathinou bid farewell to Giorgos Papadakis at the beginning of «Kalimera Ellada». The well-known journalist passed away on January 4th after a heart attack.

«It is a very difficult day for all of us, for the ANT1 group,» said Panagiotis Stathis, referring to Giorgos Papadakis' long-standing presence on the show for 34 years.

Anna Livathinou added: «Giorgos has never left, he is with us, we grew up with Giorgos Papadakis and he made us love this job.»

Panagiotis Stathis also emphasized the importance of Giorgos Papadakis for the show and the station, as well as the contribution of Minos Kyriakou.

Thodoris Kyriakou, President of the ANT1 Group, also bid farewell to Giorgos Papadakis with respect.
