Guillermo del Toro's new film, 'Frankenstein,' received a warm reception at the Venice Film Festival. The film's premiere was accompanied by a prolonged 13-minute standing ovation.

Stars Oscar Isaac, who plays the scientist, and Jacob Elordi, who embodies the monster, attended the premiere along with co-stars Mia Goth, Christoph Waltz, and Felix Kammerer.

The film, a new adaptation of Mary Shelley's classic novel, has a duration of 149 minutes and a budget of $120 million. It is considered a potential awards contender.

During the applause, Del Toro embraced the stars, while Elordi received a kiss from Isaac.
