TV Counterattack: Eurovision, World Cup, and New Shows on Screen

Greek television is gearing up for a dynamic period with significant events and new productions. ERT has secured the broadcasting rights for Eurovision 2026, which will be held in Vienna on May 12, 14, and 16, as well as the FIFA World Cup 2026, which will take place in the USA, Canada, and Mexico from June 11 to July 19.

Additionally, ERT will broadcast the dramatized documentary 'The Woman Behind Elgin', written by Mimi Denisi, about the history of the Parthenon Sculptures.

ANT1 is also preparing new shows, including the show 'Moments' with Zeta Makrypoulia, the comedy series 'Super Heroes' with Giannis Bezos, and the show 'Your face sounds familiar' hosted by Sakis Rouvas.
