Singer Vanessa Adamopoulou spoke about her decision to step away from the limelight in 2009, explaining that this break was necessary to discover her artistic identity.

In an interview on the show "Kalokairino Rantevou," Vanessa Adamopoulou mentioned that during these years she was involved in writing plays, books, and a short film. Despite receiving offers with high fees for appearances in nightclubs, she chose to reject them, as her priority was not money.

She also referred to her son, the product of her marriage to Ioannis Papazisis, emphasizing the importance of the personal fulfillment of parents for the good upbringing of children.
