Zina Koutselini is seeking a new collaborator after the conviction of Dimitris Maredis, her close associate, for attempted extortion of New Democracy MP, Zetta Makri.

Dimitris Maredis was sentenced to two years imprisonment, suspended, and a fine of 5,000 euros. The conviction relates to the attempted extortion of Zetta Makri, with Maredis allegedly asking for 15,000 euros to stop negative publications.

The prosecutor had requested his conviction, citing a documented act of extortion. The journalist is expected to appeal. Dimitris Maredis had been working on the show #StarAlitheies since September 2021.

Zina Koutselini, according to reports, has already contacted people from other television shows to fill the position.
