The platform for the "Accessibility at Home" program is now open, providing grants of up to €14,500 to people with disabilities for accessibility work in their homes and workplaces.

The Minister of Social Cohesion and Family, Domna Michailidou, stated that the program aims to address the real needs of people with disabilities and promote targeted social policies.

Eligible expenses include interventions in the main residence, professional space, and common areas of apartment buildings. The maximum grant amount is €14,500 for a combination of mobility and sensory disabilities, €12,000 for mobility disabilities, and €5,000 for sensory disabilities.

Potential beneficiaries are people with a disability rate of over 67%, who reside legally in Greece and have an individual income of up to €60,000.

Michailidou also mentioned other measures to address housing issues, such as the return of one rent payment, the €250 allowance for low-income pensioners and people with disabilities, the Spiti Mou II program, and the €200 allowance for public officials transferred to islands, mountainous, and disadvantaged areas.
