Greece Bids Farewell to Hélène Ahrweiler

Greece bid farewell to Hélène Glykatzi-Ahrweiler, an emblematic figure of Greek and European intellect, who passed away at the age of 99.
The funeral service was presided over by the Archbishop of Athens Ieronymos, in the presence of the President of the Republic Konstantinos Tasoulas and the Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
The coffin, draped with the Greek and French flags, was laid in state for public veneration. Konstantinos Tasoulas delivered the eulogy, and Kyriakos Mitsotakis gave a short farewell speech.
