Journalist Giorgos Votsis Dies at 88

Journalist Giorgos Votsis has passed away at the age of 88. His funeral will be held on Wednesday, March 11th, at 10:30 AM at the First Cemetery of Athens.
His death was announced by ESIEA, which stated that "his loss leaves a noticeable void in the field of journalism and political analysis."
Giorgos Votsis was born in 1938 in Lavdani, Ioannina. He worked for the newspaper "AVGHI" in 1961 and from 1964 to 1967 for the newspaper "DIMOKRATIKI ALLAGI". During the dictatorship, he developed anti-dictatorial activity and was a founding member of the Patriotic Front (PAM). From 1968 to 1974, he worked in London for the newspaper "TO VIMA". After the restoration of Democracy, he worked for "Eleftherotypia".
