42nd Athens Authentic Marathon: Anastasaki Sets Record in 5km Race

Athens was alive with the 42nd Authentic Marathon, with thousands of runners participating in the 5km race. The races started from Amalias Avenue and finished at the Panathenaic Stadium.

Melissa Anastasaki emerged as the winner with a new course record (16.24), while Andreas Georgiou took first place in the men's race (14.45). Anastasaki broke Anthi Koraini Kyriakopoulou's record from 2024.

Lefteris Petrounias attended the event, emphasizing the importance of sports.

Ioulianna Roussou finished second with 16.29, and Anthi Koraini Kyriakopoulou third with 16.33. In the men's race, Orfeas Ioannou was second (14.52) and Sergios Diakostefanis third (14.54).
