Apostolos Christou 6th in 50m Backstroke at World Championships

Apostolos Christou finished 6th in the 50m backstroke final at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, with a time of 24.59. This was his seventh appearance in an individual World Championship final.
Kliment Kolesnikov, competing as a neutral athlete, won first place with 23.68, a championship record. Pavel Samusenko and Pieter Coetze shared second place with 24.17.
