Greek National Water Polo Team: Tears After World Championship Elimination

The Greek national men's water polo team lost to Spain 11-9 (7-7 in regular time) in a penalty shootout in the semi-finals of the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore.

Thodoris Vlachos' team, despite trailing 2-6, managed to take a 7-6 lead. Spain equalized two seconds before the end, forcing the game to penalties. Kakkari's missed penalty led to tears from the players.

The national team will compete for the bronze medal in the small final.

The HOC sent a message of support to the team.
