G. Athanasiadis: First Statements as Aris Thessaloniki Player

Giorgos Athanasiadis continues his career at Aris Thessaloniki, after terminating his contract with AEK. In his first statements, Athanasiadis stated: "I am coming to a big club that has high aspirations and a demanding fan base. Aris' goals align with my own, and I promise to give 100% to achieve our goals this new season."

Athanasiadis signed a contract until the summer of 2026 with an option to renew for another year. Among Aris' goals, as he stated, are entering the League Phase of the Conference League and securing one of the top positions in Greece, as well as winning a title.

Aris FC's announcement states that Giorgos Athanasiadis was born on April 7, 1993, in Thessaloniki and has played for Iraklis, Ethnikos Sochou, Panthrakikos, Asteras Tripolis, AEK, Sheriff Tiraspol, and AEK Larnaca. He has also played for the Greek national team.
