Gattuso: 'I'll Leave Italy If We Don't Qualify for the World Cup'

Italy's national coach, Gennaro Gattuso, stated that he would take responsibility for the team's qualification or failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. Following Italy's victory over Israel, the team secured a place in the play-offs.
Gattuso, who has won all four of his first games as national coach, expressed satisfaction with the progress but remains cautious. 'I will take the credit if I achieve the goal. Otherwise, I will leave Italy. I already live quite far away, but I will go even further,' he stated in a press conference.
Gattuso took over the national team in June, replacing Luciano Spalletti. Italy will face Moldova and Norway in November.
Gattuso also emphasized that his team needs to improve in managing pressure during matches.
