Hellenic Basketball Federation Files Lawsuit Against GBL Coach for Defamatory Remarks

The Hellenic Basketball Federation (EOK) has filed a lawsuit against a coach from the Stoiximan GBL for defamatory remarks. The incident occurred on the weekend of November 15-16, 2025.

According to the EOK's announcement, the sports prosecutor will be informed about the case. The decision to file the lawsuit was unanimously approved by the EOK's Board of Directors.

The EOK's announcement states: "Following today's meeting of the EOK Board of Directors, the EOK Board of Directors unanimously decided to file a complaint against a KAE coach playing in the GBL for his defamatory remarks during the last matchday held on November 15-16, 2025, in accordance with the new provisions of Article 41 Paragraph 5 of Law 2725/1999. All involved parties, including the Sports Prosecutor, will be informed of the above."
