The German League has rejected Hertha Berlin's new jersey just days before the start of the Bundesliga 2 season. The decision has caused an uproar at the club, as the jersey, which costs 99.95 euros, is the most expensive in the league.

The jersey, featuring blue and white stripes, was unveiled three weeks ago and was well-received by fans. However, the league rejected it because it does not have stripes on the back as well.

Hertha Berlin has until the 9th matchday to replace the jersey, but they believe they will do so sooner. The new jersey was designed by Castore, after the end of the team's 26-year partnership with Nike.

In its statement, Hertha Berlin said: "After submitting the jerseys for the new season, the DFL informed us that the home jersey could not be approved in the submitted form. The stripe pattern on the front must also be repeated on the back."
