Merlos: Fourth in High Jump in Madrid

Antonis Merlos finished fourth in the high jump at the European Team Championships in Madrid. The athlete, coached by Thodoris Dosis, cleared 2.10, 2.14, 2.18, and 2.21 on his first attempt, equalling his season's best. He shared fourth place with Ukrainian Dmytro Nikitin. The winner was Czech Jan Stefela with 2.33.

In other events, Dimitris Levantinos finished 14th in the 400m hurdles with a time of 51.24, while Laura Zeneliya was also 14th in the women's 400m hurdles with 57.82.
