Nektarios Triantis made his debut for the Greece National Team.

The young defensive midfielder came on as a substitute in the 64th minute of the match against Belarus, replacing Manolis Siopis. The 23-year-old Minnesota United player, who has also played for Sunderland and Hibernian, had 46 appearances, five goals, and eight assists last season.

Born in Sydney to Greek parents, Triantis rejected the Australian national team. He played for Hibernian, with 62 appearances, four goals, and six assists. Last season, he was nominated for player of the year in Scotland and was a member of the top eleven.

He can play as a central defender and in midfield.
