Panathinaikos Loses 2-0 to Rangers, Hopes for Turnaround at OAKA

Panathinaikos lost 2-0 to Rangers at Ibrox in the first leg of the Champions League 3rd qualifying round. Curtis' goal in the 52nd minute and Gassama's goal in the 78th minute, combined with Vagiannidis' dismissal in the 58th minute, gave the home side the advantage.

Panathinaikos had chances in the first half with Djuricic and Pellistri, but failed to score. Vagiannidis' dismissal and Bakasetas' injury made the Greens' efforts more difficult.

The return match will take place at OAKA, where Panathinaikos will try to overturn the score and qualify for the next round.
