Panathinaikos Loses 2-0 to Rangers, Hopes for Turnaround at OAKA

Panathinaikos lost 2-0 to Rangers at Ibrox in the 2nd qualifying round of the Champions League. Despite missed opportunities and the dismissal of Vagiannidis, the Greens hope for a turnaround in the return leg at OAKA.

In the first half, Panathinaikos had significant chances with Djuricic and Pellistri, but Butland made impressive saves. Rangers took the lead in the 52nd minute with Curtis and doubled their lead in the 78th minute with Gassama.

The dismissal of Vagiannidis in the 58th minute complicated Panathinaikos' efforts, while Bakasetas' injury was an additional blow. The return match will be held at OAKA.
