Shilton's Historic Jersey from the 'Hand of God' Up for Auction

The jersey worn by Peter Shilton in the 1986 World Cup quarter-final, when Diego Maradona scored the infamous 'Hand of God' goal, is going up for auction.
The England-Argentina match, held at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City, is remembered for Maradona's controversial goal. Maradona's jersey from that game sold for £7.1 million.
David Convery, head of Graham Budd Auctions, humorously commented that Shilton's jersey, after that game in 40°C heat, 'still has... a smell.' Shilton has not commented on the auction.
In the past, Shilton had said of Maradona: 'Maradona was the best attacker I faced in my career. What I don't like is that he never apologized.'
Also up for auction are Pelé's gold medal from the 1958 World Cup, Gordon Banks' medal from 1966, and Alan Ball's jersey from the '66 final.
