Valanciunas: "Greece was stronger and better than us"

Despite his excellent performance with 24 points and 15 rebounds, Jonas Valanciunas could not lead Lithuania to the Eurobasket 2025 Top 4, as his team was eliminated by Greece in the quarter-finals.

After the game, Valanciunas said: "It was a battle, Greece was stronger. They were better than us and congratulations on qualifying. I was glad we fought to the end, we put up a good fight."

He also added: "All the guys know what it means to wear the national emblem and they do it with joy. We are stronger as one, we support each other, we play for each other and I am happy to be a member of this team. Personally, I didn't have any pain, the ice on my shoulder was more of a precaution."
