Agios Savvas Hospital: No risk from Aspergillus, says Ministry of Health

Sources from the Ministry of Health assure that there is no public health risk at Agios Savvas Hospital from the Aspergillus fungus. They emphasize that all necessary prevention and control measures have been taken.
According to the sources, on July 17, 2025, a team from EODY (National Public Health Organization) inspected the hospital and issued a report stating that there is no risk to public health. The measures that were defined were implemented by the hospital administration, the Infection Committee, and the supervising engineers.
The Minister of Health, Adonis Georgiadis, has confirmed that the safety of patients and staff is ensured. The hospital administration denounces that publications distort the EODY report, causing concern.
