Man Lets Venomous Snakes Bite Him for Immunity

A man in the USA, Tim Friede, has allowed venomous snakes to bite him over 200 times in the past 18 years in an attempt to develop immunity to their venom.

Friede has been bitten by cobras, mambas, taipans, and kraits, and has administered over 700 doses of venom to himself.

His goal is to aid science in the development of antivenom.
