Newborn urgently airlifted from Rhodes to Heraklion

A 5-day-old newborn was urgently transferred from Rhodes to Heraklion, Crete, due to health issues. The operation was carried out by EKAV in collaboration with "The Smile of the Child".

The infant was transported by EKAV aircraft, accompanied by a doctor, paramedics, and the father. He was admitted to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit of the Venizelio Hospital in Heraklion.

The Mobile Medical Unit for Neonatal and Pediatric Intensive Care of "The Smile of the Child", equipped with a special incubator, played a crucial role in the safe transport of the infant.

The organization "The Smile of the Child" wished the newborn a speedy recovery.
