Francis Ford Coppola: 'I'm fine' After Hospital Admission in Rome

86-year-old director Francis Ford Coppola has reassured fans after being admitted to the #TorVergata University Hospital in Rome. The director, of Italian descent, had scheduled heart surgery.

In a post on Instagram, Coppola stated: 'Da Dada (as my children call me) is fine – I'm taking the opportunity while in Rome to repeat the atrial fibrillation surgery I had 30 years ago, with its inventor, a great Italian doctor – Dr. Andrea Natale. I'm fine.'

Coppola, known for films such as #TheGodFather and #ApocalypseNow, is in Italy ahead of filming his next movie. He had planned the surgery for some time, but developed a slight cardiac arrhythmia after being admitted.
