Marios: Mother Speaks About Liver Transplant in Turin

The mother of 18-year-old Marios, who underwent a liver transplant in Turin, Italy, is sending a message of hope. Marios' health is progressing smoothly, and he has been discharged from the Intensive Care Unit.
"Suddenly there is a new life. Suddenly we have hope. We know we will be fine. We feel very happy. I am happy that I have Marios and that things are going well. The Italians gave us hope, they gave us a new life. And our prayers and the world gave us a new life," said Marios' mother, Evi Verri, to ALPHA.
Mrs. Verri also mentioned that Marios is looking forward to returning home and continuing his life. "I wish it was the last difficult part of his life, to take the new life that the Italians and God gave him and live it to the fullest."
