Botswana Thanks Cyprus for Major Drug Shipment

The Ministry of Health of Botswana has expressed its gratitude to Cyprus for a significant shipment of medications intended for children with cancer. The shipment, weighing two tons, arrived in Gaborone on July 10, 2025.

This initiative is part of the Cypriot International Action Plan for Childhood Cancer (Cy-IAPCC), coordinated by Professor Dr. Loizos Loizou of the ELPIDA Foundation.

The Minister of Health of Botswana, Dr Stephen Modise, thanked the ELPIDA Foundation, Medochemie, the government, and the people of Cyprus for their contribution. The ELPIDA Foundation thanked President Nikos Christodoulides and Foreign Minister Konstantinos Kombos for their support.

Cyprus is establishing itself as a hub for humanitarian and medical aid, strengthening international solidarity.
