The Pancyprian Union of Government Doctors (PASYKI) has launched an attack against the Minister of Health regarding the bill on university clinics. PASYKI accuses Minister Michalis Damianos of misleading the public and avoiding a substantial position on critical issues.

In its announcement, PASYKI emphasizes the lack of reference to the legal and administrative responsibility of university clinics, as well as the need to ensure the viability of public hospitals. It also expresses concerns about the way the minister treats trade union organizations.

PASYKI argues that the minister is shifting the responsibility for resolving institutional gaps to parliamentary parties, instead of seeking dialogue with doctors. It believes that the introduction of the bill risks undermining public hospitals by introducing institutional ambiguity.

PASYKI states that it is not opposed to university education, but emphasizes that the future of public hospitals should not be a field for experimentation.
