PASYKI Criticizes 'Political Experimentation' in Public Hospitals

The Pancyprian Union of Government Doctors (PASYKI) has launched a strong criticism against the Minister of Health, Michalis Damianou, regarding the bill on the establishment of university clinics within public hospitals.
PASYKI accuses the minister of presenting trade unions as an obstacle and that there is no reference to ensuring the viability of public hospitals. It also accuses him of shifting responsibility to parliamentary parties and avoiding substantive dialogue.
The union emphasizes that it is not opposed to university education, but the future of public hospitals should not become a field of political experimentation.
