Patras: Elementary School Student Diagnosed with Meningitis
Share on:

A third-grade elementary school student in Patras has been diagnosed with viral meningitis.

According to the Regional Directorate of Primary and Secondary Education of Western Greece, the school has taken all necessary measures in cooperation with EODY (National Public Health Organization). The directorate emphasizes that it is a mild form of meningitis that subsides without particular problems, and there is no cause for concern.

Parents and students are advised to observe basic hygiene rules, such as frequent hand washing and avoiding sharing glasses and bottles. If symptoms appear, citizens should contact their pediatrician. Informing school communities and early diagnosis remain critical tools for prevention.
