Takis Vamvakidis: Hospitalized with pulmonary embolism

The well-known actor Takis Vamvakidis is hospitalized in "Sotiria" hospital after suffering a pulmonary embolism.

The actor was rushed to the hospital on August 14, one day before the Dormition of the Theotokos, after experiencing severe discomfort and difficulty breathing. He had initially planned to travel to Panagia Soumela, in Trabzon.

Doctors diagnosed an acute pulmonary embolism and have placed him on medication and complete immobility.

Takis Vamvakidis had organized a road trip to Pontus, which was postponed due to his condition. According to reports, he stated: "Psalafó synchóresin adélfa" and "The Virgin Mary covered me."
