The Skincare Mistake We All Make in Winter

In winter, our skin needs more care, but paradoxically, we often mistreat it more. The most common skincare mistake? Overloading the skin with products, believing this will protect it from the cold.
The truth is that skin becomes more sensitive in winter. Cold air, heating, and sudden temperature changes weaken the epidermal barrier. Yet, instead of simplifying our routine, we add acids, active ingredients, and frequent exfoliation, resulting in irritation and a dull complexion.
The key is not 'more,' but 'right.' Fewer actives, more hydration, and products that 'lock in' moisture. Gentle cleansing, a serum with hyaluronic acid or ceramides, and a good cream that acts as a shield are enough for most skin types.
If you feel your skin 'protesting,' take it as a sign. Winter is not a time for experimentation, but for recovery. Sometimes, the best skincare is simply letting the skin breathe.
