Black Moon: Rare phenomenon today – When will it appear?

A rare astronomical phenomenon, the so-called "Black Moon", will appear tonight, August 23, 2025. The term is used to describe an unusual temporal coincidence of a new moon appearance.
The phenomenon is a "seasonal Black Moon", the 3rd new moon within the summer, where there will be 4 in total. During this phase, the bright side of the Moon faces away from Earth, making it invisible.
Unlike a lunar eclipse, the "Black Moon" is not visible to the naked eye. The previous seasonal phenomenon of this form was recorded on May 19, 2023.
On the nights of August 24th and 25th, low to the west, 30 – 40 minutes after sunset, the first faint "smile" of the moon will appear, a silver arc heralding the return of the Moon.
