According to a Live Science article, there are several ancient cities that have never been found by archaeologists. Their existence is confirmed through ancient texts that describe them, but their location has been lost in time.

Isiasagrig: The lost city of Mesopotamia with palaces and the god of wisdom. The city became known shortly after the American invasion of Iraq, when thousands of ancient tablets mentioning its name were found. Researchers have determined that Isiasagrig was located in Iraq about 4,000 years ago.
