Jane Goodall, Pioneering Chimpanzee Scientist, Dies at 91

Jane Goodall, the British scientist renowned for her groundbreaking studies of chimpanzees, has died at the age of 91. The Jane Goodall Institute announced that she passed away from natural causes in California, while on a speaking tour in the United States.
Goodall began her research in Tanzania in 1960, demonstrating that chimpanzees exhibit behaviors similar to those of humans, such as tool use and communication. Her discoveries revolutionized science and made her a tireless advocate for environmental protection.
"Their behavior, with their gestures, their kisses, their hugs, holding hands and patting each other on the back is so similar to human behavior," Goodall had stated.
