Antonio Banderas Celebrates His 65th Birthday

Antonio Banderas celebrated his 65th birthday on August 10th. He expressed his gratitude for all he has experienced in an Instagram post.

"Today I turn 65 years old and I stop for a moment to smile at the road I have traveled, surrendering gratefully to my present, and putting aside mathematics and the passage of time, to congratulate myself for remaining young," he wrote.

José Antonio Domínguez Banderas, as is his full name, was born in Malaga, Spain. He initially wanted to become a football player, but an injury led him to acting.

He collaborated with Pedro Almodóvar and then pursued a career in Hollywood, starring in films such as "Philadelphia", "Interview with the Vampire", and "The Mask of Zorro".

He has also lent his voice to Puss in Boots and has been involved in directing and theater.

He was married to Ana Leza and Melanie Griffith, with whom he had a daughter, Stella Banderas. In 2017, he suffered a heart attack.
