Eric Dane: Head Injury Prevented Him from Attending the Emmys

Actor Eric Dane revealed that a head injury forced him to miss the 2025 Emmy Awards. Dane, who has been diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), was scheduled to present an award at the ceremony.

In an interview with the Washington Post, Dane explained that he fell in his kitchen and had to be taken to the hospital. As a result, he was unable to attend the Emmys, where he was to reunite with his former "Grey's Anatomy" co-star, Jesse Williams.

His wife, Rebecca Gayheart, spoke about the challenges the family faces following Dane's ALS diagnosis. Their daughters are attending sessions with specialists to cope with the situation.

Dane announced his ALS diagnosis in April 2024. He was recently seen in a wheelchair, struggling to speak, stating that he would "fight to his last breath" against the disease.
