Cardi B Accused of Attacking Security Guard

Cardi B's trial has begun in Los Angeles, with the rapper accused of attacking a woman working as a security guard at a medical center in Beverly Hills in 2018. Imani Ellis, the security guard, testified that Cardi B physically attacked, verbally abused, and spat on her.

According to Ellis's testimony, the confrontation occurred when she exclaimed "Wow, that's Cardi B" as the rapper exited the elevator while pregnant with her first child. Cardi B allegedly believed that Ellis was using her phone to spread news of her pregnancy.

Cardi B's lawyer, Peter J. Anderson, argued that Ellis was the aggressor and that Cardi B never touched Ellis, as she feared for her unborn child.
