Lohan stars in Freakier Friday, the sequel to Freaky Friday (2003), alongside Jamie Lee Curtis. In the film, Lohan now plays a mother, while Curtis returns as her mother.

Prior to her return to acting, Lohan moved to Dubai, where she lives with her husband, Bader Shammas, and their son, Luai. The actress stated that she feels "very safe" in Dubai.
