Dolly Parton Returns to the Stage After Months-Long Absence

Dolly Parton made her first public appearance in several months at the opening of the 41st season of the «Dollywood» theme park on March 13. The 80-year-old singer had been absent from public events, causing concern among her fans.

Parton revealed that she had faced health issues and felt exhausted after the death of her husband, Carl Dean, in 2025. «I just felt worn out and run-down with the grief of Carl and with everything else that was going on,» she stated.

The singer stated that she needed time to regain her strength, both mentally and physically. She also joked with the audience about Eugene Naughton, president of Dollywood Parks & Resorts, saying that she is not dating anyone and that Carl is waiting for her.
