Mexico's President Requests More BTS Concerts from South Korea

Mexico's President, Claudia Sheinbaum, has sent a letter to South Korean President Lee Jae-myung, requesting more concerts by the K-pop group BTS in Mexico.
Sheinbaum stated that approximately 1 million young people want to buy tickets, but only 150,000 are available. BTS is scheduled to begin a world tour in April, following the release of their new album titled "Arirang".
The tour announcement caused high demand for tickets, especially in Mexico, where only three concerts are planned. Many fans were unable to purchase tickets, while others complained about problems during the sale.
The Consumer Protection Authority has launched an investigation against Ticketmaster and imposed sanctions on resale platforms StubHub and Viagogo for unfair practices. Tickets on Ticketmaster were sold from 1,800 to 17,800 pesos, while on resale platforms prices reached up to 92,100 pesos.
The three concerts in Mexico will be held at the GNP Seguros stadium in Mexico City, from May 7 to May 10.
