Katy Perry vs. Terminally Ill Veteran: New Mansion Lawsuit

The legal battle between Katy Perry and a terminally ill veteran over a $15 million mansion continues. The singer testified via Zoom in Los Angeles court regarding the property's purchase in 2020.
Perry and Orlando Bloom bought the Montecito, California mansion from Carl Westcott, who suffered from Huntington's disease. Westcott tried to rescind the contract, but Perry gained ownership in May 2024.
Now, Katy Perry is seeking over $5 million in damages, including $3 million for lost rental income. When asked what she stands to gain from the trial, Perry replied, "Justice."
Westcott's lawyer claims his client has not yet received the full $15 million for the mansion sale.
